About The Position

We are seeking motivated, high-energy candidates to join our founding West Michigan team as a Full-Time Teller. As one of the first faces our new members see, you will be instrumental in building our local presence from the ground up. This position offers the opportunity to earn incentive pay. POSITION PURPOSE You will ensure that our new members are promptly and professionally served by performing a seamless blend of teller functions, member service tasks, and proactive cross-selling of credit union products to help our members reach their financial goals.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Sales experience preferred.
- Cash handling experience is helpful.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
- Solid math skills and comfort with financial figures.
- Ability to navigate computer applications and standard office equipment.
- Good typing and data entry skills.
Responsibilities
- Expert Transactions: Accurately performing financial transactions such as cash withdrawals, deposits, transfers, and loan payments.
- Member Advocacy: Proactively cross-selling products and services that add true value to our members' lives while hitting branch growth objectives.
- Precision & Accountability: Balancing daily transactions, verifying cash totals, and resolving any out-of-balance conditions with a sharp eye for detail.
- Problem Solving: Ensuring members' requests and questions—whether in person, over the phone, or digital—are resolved with excellence.
- Community Representation: Acting as an ambassador for Genisys to ensure our quality reputation is firmly established in the Kentwood and Grand Rapids area.
