About The Position

To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. Cross-sells credit union products and services. Ensures that members are aware of electronic services, such as remote deposit capture, online banking, Bill Pay, e-statements, mobile app, and online loan approval.

Requirements

• Up to six months of similar or related experience.
• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED
• Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
• Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes member financial transactions, included but not limited to: Deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Sells money orders and traveler's checks to members. Transfers funds from member accounts as directed. Correctly maintains member's account information.
• Provides a superior member experience by actively listening and assessing the needs of the member and offering targeted solutions to these needs.
• Actively cross sells and provides product and service guidance to members, referring members to the appropriate department as necessary.
• Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including but not limited to: ordering member checks, correctly completing wire transfer forms, changing member addresses, enroll members in online banking and reset passwords, etc.
• Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Under dual control, balances the cash vault.
• Attains and maintains up-to-date knowledge of credit union products and services, sufficient to successfully cross-sell and refer.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
