PNB operates two branches in Kewanee, IL, and additional branches in Annawan, Bradford, Dwight, Manlius, Reynolds, Sheffield, Seneca, and Tampico, IL. The bank is focused on developing new and innovative products, services, and programs to serve its customers and strengthen communities. PNB is seeking a Part-Time Bank Teller for its Kewanee location. This role serves as the first point of contact for many customers and is critical in delivering exceptional service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Cash handling experience required
• Ability to successfully complete any required background checks or regulatory screenings
• Proven customer service skills with a customer-first mindset
• Strong computer and technology skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong aptitude for math and numerical accuracy
• Attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Previous banking experience preferred
• Retail or sales experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately processing customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers
• Balancing a cash drawer daily with accuracy and efficiency
• Identifying customer needs and providing information on bank products and services, with appropriate referrals to Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), lenders, or other banking professionals
• Providing outstanding customer service by maintaining a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Answering telephone calls promptly and professionally
• Learning, understanding, and following all retail banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of customer and bank information
• Assisting with assignments or projects as needed to ensure adequate staffing and smooth branch operations, including possible travel to other branch locations
• Performing other duties as assigned
