About The Position

FreeStar Financial Credit Union is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Teller for our Sterling Heights Branch. Position Purpose: The primary purpose of a Teller is assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission by identifying member needs, efficiently processing transactions and maintaining a consistent balancing record, in addition to suggesting products and services with would benefit our members. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of cash handling experience.
• Preferred knowledge of various federal regulations and the responsibilities relating to each act of the following:

Responsibilities

• A Teller observes all of the core values that have been established and abide by the standards of the position, which have been developed to support our values and provide superior customer service to our members.
• A Teller provides efficient and accurate customer service in transactions which include, but not limited to, check cashing, deposits, withdrawals or transfers, in person and over the phone.
• A Teller provides members with account status as requested.
• A Teller balances on a daily basis the assigned cash drawer including all negotiable instruments.
• Tellers meet member needs by cross-selling all products and services offered by the credit union.
• Must achieve the minimum sales standards as established by leadership.
• Process night deposit and ATM transactions
