We are currently seeking a Part-Time Bank Teller to join our team at our Kewanee location. What Will a Bank Teller Do? The Bank Teller serves as the first point of contact for many of our customers and plays a critical role in delivering exceptional service. Key responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Cash handling experience required
  • Ability to successfully complete any required background checks or regulatory screenings
  • Proven customer service skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong aptitude for math and numerical accuracy
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Previous banking experience preferred
  • Retail or sales experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately processing customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers
  • Balancing a cash drawer daily with accuracy and efficiency
  • Identifying customer needs and providing information on bank products and services, with appropriate referrals to Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), lenders, or other banking professionals
  • Providing outstanding customer service by maintaining a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Answering telephone calls promptly and professionally
  • Learning, understanding, and following all retail banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of customer and bank information
  • Assisting with assignments or projects as needed to ensure adequate staffing and smooth branch operations, including possible travel to other branch locations
  • Performing other duties as assigned
