About The Position

First Bankers Trust Company is offering a flexible job opportunity for interested candidates! The Bank Teller position is responsible for providing existing and potential customers with a variety of services, including processing banking transactions, assisting with account troubleshooting, and processing miscellaneous requests. This position is also accountable for promoting the benefits, features and practical usage of our banking products and services to existing and potential customers. This position will work closely with retail teammates, as well as cross-functionally with bankers, operations staff, and digital banking. This position will work part-time hours and may float between branches in the same geographic proximity as their home branch. This position will also be required to work some weekend hours as part of a rotation with other retail staff members. Answer customer questions, assist with customer requests, research account issues, and resolve issues and problems. Post transactions, pay out funds, verify cash, and perform other duties related to executing customer transactions. Execute branch opening and closing and duties related to these activities. Execute cash and coin processing activities. Participate in fun community events with the rest of the FBTC team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates aptitude for mathematical and/or financial transactions
  • Demonstrates ability to execute day to day work under direct supervision
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills (customer-oriented)
  • Demonstrates ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multi-task daily job duties
  • Demonstrates ability to address basic job related/technical issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong team collaboration/teamwork skills, with ability to work in diverse teams and build/maintain positive working relationships
  • Demonstrates ability to interact efficiently with banking software, as well as utilize common office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications; willingness to learn new technologies
  • Demonstrates problems solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3-6 months of related experience/exposure within the banking industry preferred
