POSITION PURPOSE The Teller is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately and efficiently processing a variety of financial transactions. This role serves as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive banking experience and adherence to all regulatory and security requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
  • Cash handling Experience.
  • Customer Service Experience.
  • General PC and peripherals.
  • Performs all transactions within the confines of all State and Federal laws and Company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to learn, follow and maintain company provided education concerning various compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook is preferred.
  • 10-key skills preferred.
  • Basic math skills preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills including written and verbal.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills.
  • Motivated, accurate and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, providing assistance with banking needs.
  • Ensure positive interactions with customers and non-customers while performing routine financial transactions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues or refer to appropriate staff as needed.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in managing customer relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Always represent Two Rivers in a professional and positive manner.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle complex transactions such as holds, CTRs, stop payments, overdrawn accounts, statement or transaction errors, and account closings.
  • Complete various customer service forms and functions as required.
  • Routinely balance transactions and verify cash totals without variances.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and maintain proper cash limits.
  • Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Two Rivers’ policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence.
  • Identify potentially fraudulent activity to help prevent loss to Two Rivers and its customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
  • Proactively recognize and act on cross-selling opportunities by referring customers to appropriate products/services or personnel.
  • Recognize customer needs based on conversations and provide solutions.
  • Provide enhanced information about various bank products and services.
  • Sell appropriate financial products and services to maximize sales and fee income.
  • Gain and use every opportunity to grow personal knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Assist with branch operational tasks, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Complete various branch duties such as processing night drop, mail transactions, ATM balancing, and other operational tasks.
  • Participate in community events to demonstrate support for the Two Rivers culture.
