About The Position

The Teller position at Comerica is essential for the success of Retail Banking Centers, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining operational standards. The role involves engaging with customers, promoting digital solutions, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations while working in a dynamic environment that may require occasional evening or Saturday shifts.

Requirements

  • 6 months of Retail or financial sales experience OR 2 years of U.S. Military service OR 1 year of college.
  • 1 year of experience in customer service.
  • 1 year of experience with personal computer, systems data entry, or internet search.

Nice To Haves

  • Cash handling experience in a retail or financial services environment.
  • Proficient with utilizing and navigating a computer system.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce and refer customers to the platform through routine interactions.
  • Provide remarkable customer service through all customer interactions, problem resolution, and safe deposit services.
  • Perform routine customer requests and complete Comerica's Teller Training Program.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, regulations, and security protocols, completing necessary documentation.
  • Use provided electronics to document all transactions during shifts and reconcile transactions at the end of shifts.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Resolve basic customer complaints and impact the customer experience following defined guidelines.
  • Complete assigned daily planning activities and act as a digital ambassador for customers.
  • Engage customers with Comerica's products/services and digital solutions, addressing questions and following up in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and Comerica's policies, completing necessary training and adhering to risk assessment standards.
  • Control and mitigate losses by following established policies and procedures.
  • Consistently improve Banking Center collaboration and identify opportunities to add value to customers.
