About The Position

The Teller at Comerica is responsible for enhancing the overall success of Retail Banking Centers by ensuring banker-readiness, accurately processing transactions, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves maintaining operational objectives while contributing to a positive customer experience and adhering to company policies and regulations. The position may require occasional evening and Saturday shifts, as well as temporary assignments at other banking center locations based on staffing needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of banking products and services.

  • Previous experience in a banking or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with digital banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce and refer customers to the platform through routine interactions.
  • Provide remarkable customer service through all customer interactions, problem resolution, and telephone answering.
  • Perform routine customer requests and complete Comerica's Teller Training Program.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, regulations, and security procedures, completing necessary documents.
  • Use provided electronics to document all transactions during shifts.
  • Reconcile all transactions during and at the end of shifts.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Resolve basic customer complaints and impact the customer experience following defined guidelines.
  • Complete assigned daily planning activities and act as a digital ambassador to transition customers to digital solutions.
  • Engage customers by introducing them to Comerica's products/services and addressing questions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and Comerica's policies and procedures, completing necessary training.
  • Control and mitigate losses by following policies and procedures.
  • Impact efforts that improve Banking Center collaboration and identify opportunities to add value to customers.
