About The Position

The Teller is responsible for performing member banking transactions, providing education on banking services available, and communicating banking products to members. This includes completing deposits, withdrawals, and other financial interactions while providing excellent member service to all members. The role may provide support and coverage to other branches and perform related teller duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in member service, financial services, or similar retail experience preferred.
• Previous experience working directly with the public.
• Flexibility to support other branches based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Engage members as they enter the branch and manage lobby traffic.
• Identify changes in members’ financial situation and recommend relevant solutions.
• Assist members with technology solutions including Online Banking and mobile applications.
• Provide timely responses to member and team member requests.
• Cash checks and disburse funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds.
• Accept deposits and confirm the accuracy of transactions.
• Prepare, verify, and issue cashiers’ checks and money orders.
• Enter transactions in the bank’s recordkeeping system.
• Evaluate checks for endorsements and legality.
• Balance all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts.
• Accept and count inventories of cash and checks daily.
• Maintain a work area that ensures the safety of negotiables and confidential records.
• Prepare monies for deposit or shipment to branch banks or the Federal Reserve Bank.
• Order cash supply to meet daily needs.
• Adhere to all security policies for the branch.
• Implement processes as required by the Bank Secrecy Act and Wellby policies.
• Complete all mandatory compliance testing by deadlines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
