About The Position

The Teller Supervisor is responsible for implementing existing policies, procedures, and systems involving Teller operations and customer service functions. This role coordinates, directs, and assigns Teller work, ensuring a smooth flow of the Teller line, adequate window coverage, and general training. The Supervisor oversees the provision of a full range of services to customers and prospective customers, ensuring that they are promptly and professionally served.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2.5 years successful Teller experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Teller operations and procedures.
  • Good understanding of Bank operations and philosophy.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Supervisory and training abilities.
  • Solid math skills.
  • Ability to operate related computer software and business equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the GS3 (Gold Star Sales and Service) program.
  • Knowledge of Personal Banker position with intention of becoming a Personal Banker.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient, effective, and professional Teller operations.
  • Ensure all Teller functions are performed in accordance with established policies and standards.
  • Coordinate Teller operations by assigning work and distributing workflow.
  • Assist Tellers with complex transactions and sensitive customer relations problems.
  • Investigate Teller out-of-balance conditions and institute corrective procedures.
  • Perform Teller paying and receiving functions as required.
  • Maintain an inventory of negotiable items for use in the Teller area.
  • Ensure customer service functions are performed in accordance with established policies and standards.
  • Resolve customer requests, problems, and questions promptly.
  • Cross-sell Bank products and services.
  • Supervise area personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Provide leadership and training to personnel.
  • Monitor compliance with policy, procedures, and sales culture.
  • Complete required reports and related documents promptly and accurately.
