About The Position

The Teller Supervisor at Essex Savings Bank is responsible for managing a team of tellers while ensuring exceptional customer service is provided to banking customers. This role involves coaching team members, processing financial transactions, and serving as a backup to the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager. The supervisor will also be involved in branch operations and maintaining adherence to policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Teller experience and related supervisory experience is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• PC and internet proficiency is required.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory experience in banking is preferred.
• Availability to work the required schedule of the Branch, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the teller line, ensuring high levels of customer service.
• Coach and mentor team members to enhance performance and service quality.
• Process various financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers to provide an extraordinary banking experience.
• Identify and refer new relationship opportunities to appropriate team members.
• Open new accounts and perform account maintenance as needed.
• Oversee branch operations including ATM settlement, vault balancing, and security issues.
• Educate and coach tellers on products, services, and operational procedures.
