This position is for a Teller Service Representative I in the Retail Operations department, reporting to the Teller Supervisor or Teller III. The role is non-exempt and involves performing a broad range of teller service activities under general supervision, following established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED.
  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
  • Prior cash handling or teller experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate PC equipment and various office machines accurately.
  • Excellent basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and display dependability.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with home banking and bill paying services.
  • Knowledge of emerging computer technology, such as mobile devices and social media.

Responsibilities

  • Identify members for transactions or account information following credit union policies.
  • Accept deposits and payments, perform withdrawals or loan advances within assigned limits.
  • Verify and finalize transaction accuracy by reading back members' receipts.
  • Maintain control of cash by double counting all cash received and disbursed.
  • Verify checks for deposit and ensure proper endorsement.
  • Provide account information such as balances and transaction history to account owners.
  • Resolve member concerns and discrepancies using available resources.
  • Balance cash fund and check batches daily.
  • Maintain security over cash and valuables according to established procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal regulations including BSA and OFAC.
  • Perform ATM maintenance and balance ATMs as directed.
  • Complete required training for the position.
