About The Position

The Teller position at Texans Credit Union involves performing limited transactional duties to serve members with a high degree of accuracy. The role focuses on maintaining accurate transactional records and providing basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a sales and service environment.
• Working knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
• Ability to analyze member accounts and suggest products to enhance financial health.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to process transactions accurately and balance a teller drawer daily.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner.
• Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, issuing negotiable items, making loan payments, and check cashing.
• Ensure all transactions are within set limits based on your teller level and request assistance when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of all related policies and procedures, rules and regulations for the teller area.
• Actively learn and promote credit union products and services, including loans, IRAs, and online banking.
• Balance cash drawer at the end of the business day and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure the teller station is properly stocked with necessary forms and supplies.
• Check night depository bags and record information according to procedures.
• Remain compliant with all financial laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
