Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent education.
• Understanding of Bank operations preferred.
• At least one year of related experience in cash handling required; previous Teller experience preferred.
• Good communication skills and professional appearance.
• Good math and typing skills.
• Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of Teller functions.
• Represents the bank in a courteous and professional manner.
• Receives and processes deposits and loan payments.
• Cashes checks and other negotiable instruments for clients.
• Examines documents for endorsements and negotiability.
• Processes transfers between accounts and sells traveler's checks, official checks, and money orders.
• Processes credit card cash advances and verifies and balances cash daily.
• Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly and offers other Bank products to meet customer needs.
• Follows Teller procedures consistently and adheres to compliance requirements.
• Establishes and maintains effective, professional business relations with clients and resolves client requests and inquiries promptly.
• Operates online teller terminal and maintains privacy of customer information.
• Assists area personnel and management as required and keeps supervisor informed of area activities.
• Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly and attends meetings and training classes as needed.
• Performs night drop functions and related clerical duties as assigned.
