About The Position

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 - 12 months prior Teller experience within a financial institution, retail sales, or a customer service position involving cash handling.
• Proficient in counting cash, arithmetic, ten-key, and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrates strong member service, sales, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple assignments and prioritize work effectively.
• Motivated to accomplish set goals and work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual skills are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service with a focus on eye contact, greetings, and personalized interactions.
• Perform and document over-the-counter transactions as per established procedures.
• Determine the acceptability of negotiable items and verify member identification.
• Address member questions and concerns, offering appropriate solutions.
• Identify cross-sale opportunities and refer members to appropriate staff or open new products/services as needed.
• Assist with lobby management to ensure timely service for all members.
• Stay informed about financial services and tools offered by the credit union and educate members on new offerings.
• Maintain cash drawer and ensure it balances within established guidelines.
• Assist or lift 50-pound bags of coin as required.
• Stand for extended periods, up to four hours at a time.
• Perform additional duties as required by the Management Team.
