About The Position

Receives and pays out money. Keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in various banking and other financial transactions.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Has two years experience as a teller or a comparable position in the customer service/retail industry.
• Cross trained on additional duties within the branch/location
• High School Diploma.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to use office equipment including (but not limited to) calculator, computer, etc.
• Periodic updates on bank products and services for cross selling.

Responsibilities

• Receives deposits; verifies cash and endorsements; issues receipts.
• Cashes checks and pays out money upon verification of identification and customer balances.
• Accepts non-cash items for collection.
• Sells money orders and official checks.
• Bags coin; verifies currency; mixes new currency; and segregates mutilated currency.
• Assists in opening night depository bags.
• Manages and balances cash fund in a neat and efficient manner.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Cross-sell products/services.
• Take loan payments.
• Performs additional duties within the branch/location in the areas of head teller, customer service and loan administration.
• Process daily transactions through Branch Capture.
