About The Position

The Teller I position is a part-time role that involves providing a variety of financial transactions and services to customers at the bank. The primary responsibilities include assisting customers with their banking needs, answering questions, and identifying opportunities to offer new or improved products and services from UCB. A key aspect of this role is to ensure that all transactions are handled accurately and in a timely manner, safeguarding both bank and customer assets by adhering to established procedures. Building strong customer relations through excellent service is also a critical component of the position. In this role, the Teller I will be responsible for performing various paying and receiving functions, maintaining accuracy in transaction processing, and verifying transaction amounts. The position requires adherence to check cashing guidelines, proper documentation, and compliance with security procedures. The Teller will also be involved in balancing the cash drawer daily, stocking the teller station, and assisting with branch capture responsibilities. Participation in ongoing training and compliance programs is essential to ensure that the Teller remains knowledgeable about bank policies and procedures. The work environment is located within the United footprint, and the position requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate evening and weekend shifts as needed. The Teller I will report directly to the Head Teller and will not have any direct reports. This role may also involve up to 10% travel, depending on the needs of the bank.
