About The Position

To assist customers with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.

Requirements

• One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (Customers or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
• Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes customer financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; except for drive-thru tellers, sells cashier's checks to customers; transfers amounts from customer account as directed.
• Answers customer inquiries and recommends appropriate products and services; makes referrals to appropriate bank personnel.
• Balances cash drawer and daily transactions; keeps currency in drawer within currency limits; sells excess currency to vault teller.
• Prepares and sends work for imaging/processing.
• Makes reports of large currency transactions and reports any suspicious activity to supervisor.
• May be responsible for ATM settlement and processing of ATM deposits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
