About The Position

MAJOR FUNCTION : Guidance and support to all internal and external customers for computer related issues. MAJOR FUNCTION : Under general supervision; coordinate phone and voice mail telecommunications services/repairs for Inspira users; serve as a liaison to all Inspira departments and vendors to provide support and expertise on allaspects of Inspira's communication systems; administer voice mail and phone switch system; maintain accurate inventory and warranty information for computer equipment purchased; and perform related work as required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of PBX and computer systems to make required repairs, ensure performance and recommend improvements
  • Knowledge and observance of safety precautions
  • Proficient in all first echelon repair and maintenance of Communication & Computer equipment and the ability to perform most second echelon repairs
  • Ability to multi-task and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively to users and vendors
  • Good oral and written expression
  • Familiar with networking concepts
  • Must posses a valid Driver's License
  • When needed, must be available to all divisions
  • High school education or equivalent is required
  • At least 3 years of significant experience as a communication technician

  • Some appropriate trade/technical/vocational training is desired
