About The Position

Be part of a transformative effort to improve the health and well-being of rural communities across Indiana. Our client is leading Indiana’s 5-year Rural Health Transformation Program, including the Make Rural Indiana Healthy Again Regional Grants, a historic $600M investment to strengthen healthcare access, prevention, and system resilience across 64 fully rural and nine partially rural counties. This initiative brings together state leadership, healthcare providers, and community organizations to design and implement solutions that reflect local needs while advancing a shared, statewide vision for better health outcomes. This is a high-impact role focused on expanding access to care through telehealth and teleconsultation, helping rural communities connect to timely, high-quality services through sustainable and scalable delivery models. As the Telemedicine Program Manager, you will lead the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of statewide telehealth and teleconsultation initiatives that support Indiana’s rural health transformation efforts. In this role, you will work across clinical, technical, operational, and policy teams to help expand access to care, improve quality, and support compliant, sustainable telehealth programs. You will manage program execution under the direction of the telehealth and teleconsultation initiatives lead, while coordinating vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure strong performance, effective governance, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong project leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex, high-visibility initiatives with multiple stakeholders, evolving requirements, and meaningful public health impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in public health, health administration, informatics, information systems, or a related field; master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in program management, healthcare operations, public health, health IT, or a related field
  • 4 years Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs or projects
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships
  • Proficiency with common productivity and project management tools, including Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with multiple and fluid demands
  • Ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external customers

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and ongoing management of telehealth and teleconsultation initiatives that support statewide access to care.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of telehealth and teleconsultation programs and initiatives
  • Monitor program plans, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to support successful delivery of program goals
  • Support development of sustainability strategies, including funding models and operational integration
  • Support other related rural health transformation activities, as requested
  • Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to drive alignment, adoption, and long-term program success.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including IT, legal, finance, and initiative leads, as well as external partners such as vendors, providers, regional coalitions, and stakeholders
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management activities related to telehealth and teleconsultation initiatives
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for leadership, partners, and oversight bodies as needed
  • Manage vendor performance and operational execution to support reliable, scalable program delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract oversight, deliverable tracking, and performance management
  • Oversee program governance, reporting, and documentation to ensure alignment with organizational, state, and federal requirements
  • Ensure operational activities align with program goals, timelines, and compliance expectations
  • Use data, feedback, and governance practices to monitor outcomes and strengthen program performance over time.
  • Monitor program performance using data and stakeholder feedback, and lead continuous improvement efforts
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, privacy, security, and quality standards related to telehealth and teleconsultation
  • Support performance monitoring and reporting to help ensure initiatives remain effective, scalable, and aligned with public health objectives
