Your Impact: The Telecommunications Central Office Installer – Level III plays a critical role in ensuring the installation, removal, and maintenance of central office telecom equipment, including transmission, power, and fiber systems. This position requires a highly skilled individual capable of working under supervision to deliver precise and efficient installations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of installation experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Experience with AT&T Central Office installation practices and DC Power Installation is advantageous.
  • Proficient in physically placing, removing, or modifying telecom equipment and infrastructure.
  • Skilled in cable identification, labeling, measurement, termination, and routing for power and data transmission.
  • Ability to understand and follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
  • Proficient in laptop computer skills and applications; familiarity with MS Office is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to pass pre-employment background checks, and be insurable.
  • Willingness to travel within the US; international travel is a plus. All expenses covered by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in installation teams at customer locations nationwide.
  • Operate vehicles, hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and test equipment.
  • Demonstrate mastery of installation skills per Telco Standard TP76300 with accuracy and competency.
  • Install a variety of systems, including AC/DC power systems, fiber systems, plant iron infrastructure, and alarm systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage, staging, and work areas on-site.
  • Understand and apply company policies, safety procedures, and administrative requirements.
  • Read, understand, and apply job specifications, installation documents, and schematics.
