Requirements

  • Clearance: Must possess Secret Clearance with IT-I Sensitivity
  • Experience: Five (5) years or more of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least two projects in technical areas, including networking and/or Cisco Video Tele-Conferencing. At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.
  • Certifications: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II

  • Computing Environment Certification (One of the following):
  • Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNP) v1.0 (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Telecom/Collaboration architecture.
  • Develop the requirements to resolve or address current deficiencies in the infrastructure due to the changing demands of the current environment.
  • Perform aspects of project management and communicate project statuses to project stakeholders.
  • Work on installation and configuration of new devices, submitting ECRs to request IPs, ports, VMs when necessary.
  • Work with Data Center POCs to secure rack, power, and connectivity.
  • Develop required specifications to submit solutions for simple, moderate, and complex problems.
  • Coordinate with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
  • Provide engineering support for the design, configuration, installation, and sustainment of VTC, SV, and IPTV/Digital Signage software and hardware infrastructures.
  • Develop engineering plans for integration, reconfiguration, staging, and installation of VOC and COOP equipment.
  • Coordinate with DLA COMSEC personnel for secure device management within the secure VTC infrastructure.
  • Manage network operations including subnet and VLAN creation for VTC, IP/TV DS infrastructure, especially during new installations.
  • Coordinate with Data Center managers for rack space, power, and infrastructure connections.
  • Provide escalation support for all VTC, SV, and IPTV/Digital Signage trouble tickets unresolved by the VOC Technical Admins.
  • Provide technical expertise and support in lifecycle replacement, testing, and evaluation of VTC, SV, and IPTV/Digital Signage infrastructure components.
  • Ensure engineering and integration of DLA’s VTC, SV, and IPTV/Digital Signage infrastructure with upcoming DOD VTC programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Cable TV vendors for the configuration of source devices for RF content conversion to IP from cable providers.
  • Document engineering changes in accordance with ETN Configuration Management (CM) policies.
  • Prepare engineering Change Requests (CR) for submission to the ETN Configuration Control Board (CCB).
  • Ensure all components and configuration changes conform to DISA, Federal IA policies/regulations, DOD IA policies, and US CYBERCOM directives.
  • Provide over-the-shoulder training and familiarization to DLA personnel on VOC activities, including infrastructure configuration, deployment, architecture, and engineering.
  • Develop and revise documentation such as CONOPS, standard operating procedures, quick start guides, and troubleshooting guides.
