About The Position

You will support low voltage Choctaw Nation cabling standards and installations for Telcom connectivity including non-VoIP phones systems like Nortel including Carrier circuits, and POT’s lines. You will report to the director of Network Services.

Requirements

• Associates degree or 2 years related work experience
• No technical Certifications
• 5+ years Telecommunications working with a carrier or other Telecom service
• 5+ years installation of cables supporting Telecom phone systems, Carrier circuits, or data cabling
• Work on a ladder while pulling cable.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, drive for 3 hours, and carry 75lb’s.

Responsibilities

• Pull fiber and copper cables in different environments.
• Terminate both copper and fiber cables.
• Team lead working with management and vendors in designing, installing, and supporting Telecom services with includes but not limited in Nortel phones systems, signal and multi-mode fiber, copper and other low voltage cabling.
• Lead and direct other Telecom Technicians and vendors in the installation and support of Telecom projects and tasks.
• Work with Telecom Carriers in delivering carrier services.
• Maintain Telecom best practices in all buildings
• Performs other tasks as may be assigned.
