About The Position

Corle Building Systems is an IAS accredited (USA) and CSA-A660 (Canada) certified manufacturer of pre-engineered steel building systems, designing and manufacturing rigid frame clear span and multiple span buildings of all sizes. Due to continued growth, Corle Building Systems is searching for a Tekla Drafter to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in using Tekla Structures, setting it up, and creating helpful documentation for its use. This role is pivotal in handling frontline Tekla technical issues for projects, assisting in testing and documenting new tools, and managing all model creation and Tekla license administration. The drafter will also be responsible for making project-specific tweaks to model templates to meet customer needs. This position is suited for someone highly organized, who enjoys documenting processes, and is proficient with template editor rules and intelligent custom components. There is also an opportunity for the right candidate to grow into learning the Tekla API to assist with project-specific reporting and detailing needs.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in using Tekla Structures, setting it up, and writing helpful documentation on how to use that setup
  • 5+ years of recent Tekla Structures production detailing experience
  • 2+ years of being a Tekla Administrator proven in the complete setup of Tekla Structures
  • Experience in writing detailing & instructional manuals
  • Extensive knowledge in creating and setting up drawing and report templates using the template editor, including drawing layouts
  • Knowledge of Tekla Structures drawing object level and drawing settings

Responsibilities

  • Handling frontline Tekla technical issues for projects
  • Work closely with our Tekla API programming department in testing and documenting new tools
  • Handle all model creation and Tekla license administration
  • Take project-specific tweaks to model templates to meet customer needs
  • Creates Tekla model, project folder, and project communication channels for all new projects
  • Tekla Structures project-specific templates, reports, catalogs, and custom components
  • Write/update client standards documents for Tekla
  • Test and document new Tekla model and drawing tools developed by our in-house Tekla API software development group
  • Periodically do complex modeling/connections tasks as required
  • Will be required to provide training to others as necessary
