About The Position

This position provides care and supervision of the wellbeing of Pregnant/Teen Mothers and their children while in residential care in a respectful, affirming and dignified manner in accordance with the requirements of the State of Florida licensing, COA requirements, and policies of His House Children’s Home.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Must have work experience with Teen Moms and their Infants.
• Must be culturally sensitive in working with a diverse population.
• Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License, a good driving record and be able to drive.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if needed.
• Must have command of the English language verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Services or related field from an accredited College / University preferred.
• Early Childhood Certification / Infant Care Certification preferred.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish) (English/Creole).

Responsibilities

• supervises field trips or activities outside of the home.
• Transport children to and from school / Daycare, appointments, court and any necessary activity.
