About The Position
TechZone, a department of Illinois State University, provides sales and service resources to ISU affiliates. TechZone employs student workers for both Sales and Service, with an emphasis on strong customer service. Student workers must have summer availability (May to July) to qualify for this posting.
Requirements
- Must have full availability from June 3, 2026 - July 17, 2026
- Must have summer availability (May to July)
- Ability to effectively communicate on a daily basis
- Proof of eligibility for employment at Illinois State University to perform the required duties
- Valid Social Security Number registered with the University at the time of employment and/or as soon after as possible, but no later than 45 days from the start date

Responsibilities
- Recommend laptops and other technology solutions to students, faculty/staff, and retirees based on their needs
- Conduct point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently
- Answer incoming sales calls and provide basic product information and support
- Stock, organize, and maintain sales floor inventory
