About The Position
TechZone, a department of Illinois State University, provides sales and service resources to ISU affiliates. TechZone employs student workers for both Sales and Service, with an emphasis on strong customer service. Job responsibilities can include: -Recommend laptops and other technology solutions to students, faculty/staff, and retirees based on their needs -Conduct point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently -Answer incoming sales calls and provide basic product information and support -Stock, organize, and maintain sales floor inventory Additional Information Student employees are eligible to participate in the University’s 403(b) Plan. Requirements
- Must have full availability from June 3, 2026 - July 17, 2026
- Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: -Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
Nice To Haves
- Strong customer service skills are the most important aspect of this role.
- Working technical knowledge of computers, peripherals, and accessories is preferred.
- The ideal candidate would have a willingness to learn on the job, work well in groups, and is self motivated.
