About The Position

As the Technology Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students build essential digital literacy and technology skills while fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment. Reporting to the Campus Principal, you will design and facilitate lessons in computer use, keyboarding, and other technology applications, ensuring students develop both practical skills and responsible digital citizenship. In your role, you will: Create and implement lesson plans that accommodate different learning styles, skill levels, and interests, aligned with the school's guidelines. Provide instruction to individual students and small groups, reinforcing concepts and supporting skill mastery. Supervise student activities in the computer lab, maintaining safety, ethical behavior, and effective classroom management. Use professional discretion and judgment in handling student behavior and managing classroom operations. Support teachers and staff by assisting with technology integration across the curriculum. Participate in other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification (in-person course required).
  • Experience working with school-age children.
  • Experience managing computer labs and assisting users with technology.
  • Operate office equipment and technology safely and effectively.
  • Perform basic math and problem-solving functions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, instructions, and documents.
  • Present information clearly to students, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of office management procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and collaborative skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other educational technology tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
  • Arizona Teaching Certificate, or Reciprocal Out-of-State Certificate.
  • One year of teaching experience, ideally in technology or STEM.
  • Technology-related certifications (Google Certified Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator, or similar).
