About The Position

The Technology Systems Specialist will join the talented team at the Allegheny Valley School District. As the Technology Systems Specialist, you will coordinate, install, and maintain the efficient and effective functioning of the hardware, software, and network systems within the district. Working with the Supervisor of Technology, the Technology Systems Specialist will support academic and administrative technology systems and support the integration of technology at all levels.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Information Systems Technology or four years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of data, video, and voice network hardware and systems.
• Knowledge of security systems including Firewalls, VPN, LAN.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, strong time management skills and the ability to “triage” issues.
• Ability to function collaboratively in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Active Directory, Google Workspace Administration and Apps, Apple, MacOS, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012+, Chrome ODS, iOS/iPadOS, Meraki Networks, Cisco Networks - desired experience.
• Training or certification in IT related subjects preferred. (ex: CCNA, Network+, PGWA)
• Exceptional organizational and record keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, install, and maintain the network and server infrastructure.
• Support and maintain the District's Student Information System.
• Support and maintain other various information data systems.
• Assist in planning and coordinating technology integration.
• Must be self-directed and able to take initiative
• Provide tier 1, 2, and 3 support to staff and students.
• Ability to investigate and troubleshoot technical problems.
