About The Position

As the Technology Support Intern, you will participate in training and projects within various corporate information technology support functions: maintenance, troubleshooting, installation of personal computers and peripheral equipment, etc. This full-time, paid internship is based out of our Walsworth – Marceline office and reports to the Infrastructure Supervisor. This internship lasts 12 weeks, with a 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday schedule. Walsworth is the 29th largest printer in the U.S. and Canada and among the top three yearbook companies. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Must have a valid US driver's license and have reliable transportation to and from the assigned office location (required)
  • U.S. work authorization is required along with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Basic understanding of IT support functions
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe products
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to remain organized and self-directed
  • Ability to interface with a variety of individuals or groups on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills via face-to-face conversation, email and phone calls

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of at least 24 credit hours towards a related degree program (preferred)
  • Experience in an IT support role (preferred)
  • Completion of at least 60 credit hours towards a degree program OR completion of at least four semesters of college (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance and installation of personal computers & peripheral equipment (i.e. printers, barcode readers, etc.)
  • Assist with basic personal computer and networking troubleshooting
  • Provide basic Microsoft Office application support
  • Provide basic Adobe application support
  • Provide end-user support for Microsoft Outlook products and functions
  • Assist with corporate anti-virus protection system operations
  • Comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
