About this role: The Technology Support Analyst is responsible for the evaluation, testing, operational maintenance, protection, and support of ConnectShip technology assets through the entire life cycle. In this role, the candidate will be eliciting, analyzing, and communicating very closely with cross-functional teams, business as well as vendor teams. He/She contributes to the management of the evaluation, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, performance, and support of infrastructures, applications, and appliances. This position executes analysis, implementation, maintenance, and support of a variety of hardware and software. He/She provides analysis, implementation, maintenance, and support of an Information Systems Security model for ConnectShip Information Technology environments. Responsibilities and Duties Provide technical support and troubleshoot end-user issues Workstation (desktop and laptop) hardware and software configuration and deployment Network hardware administration and maintenance (switches, printers) Diagnoses system issues, and takes corrective actions to ensure continuity of operations Identifies and implements technologies and processes to improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of the systems environment Utilizes supplied specifications and standardized tools for work assignments of moderate risk, impact, complexity, and scope Server software administration and maintenance Database administration (SQL Server) Hardware and software inventory management Monitors current and emerging technologies, trends, and tools Continual training to keep up with emerging technologies May be responsible for the work of others, resource allocation, and career development Minimum Qualifications: Excellent troubleshooting skills Expert knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems Experience deploying new desktop hardware Experience installing and configuring desktop software Experience deploying hardware and software patches Experience with Azure cloud platform technology Database administration experience (SQL Server) Adaptability and the desire to embrace change Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience Employee Type: Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
