About The Position

Thee Strategic Remediation Consultant provides critical support to the Strategic Remediation Manager in executing risk management and compliance initiatives for the TD&O Wholesale division. This role focuses on operationalizing remediation strategies, coordinating risk intake processes, and ensuring timely delivery of compliance and governance requirements. The consultant partners with technology and business stakeholders to interpret policies, manage issue remediation, and maintain visibility into risk priorities and progress.

Requirements

  • Understanding of enterprise financial services technology organizations, structure, technology and associated risk landscapes.
  • Experience managing programs or projects.
  • Regulatory and risk management experience in a large financial services technology organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology discipline or equivalent experience with expertise.
  • 7+ years of experience in an enterprise technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large programs or projects.

  • Risk Execution Support a. Assist in bi-monthly Wholesale Risk Reviews and preparation of materials for offsite sessions b. Support ownership and tracking of horizontal findings and remediation plans (RPs) c. Collaborate with control owners (CTO, TPS, EDA) to implement localized compliance and control measures
  • Remediation Coordination a. Manage intake and central reporting for technology strategic remediation initiatives b. Facilitate risk demand intake and funding requests for compliance-related work c. Help maintain governance frameworks to align funding with compliance priorities and technology investments
  • Issue Management & Reporting a. Support end-to-end issue management, including dashboard updates and execution reporting b. Assist with horizontal issue management and routine continuous monitoring (RCM)
  • Governance & Committee Engagement a. Prepare reporting and commentary for risk committees (ETRC, ERC, BRC, TDWG) b. Contribute to KRI reporting and talking points for leadership and governance forums

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead one or more of the following Truist Technology Strategic Remediation Governance and Operations functions: a. Program management including driving adoption of the Strategic Remediation program, development of a capability framework, program charter, governing documents, maturity and execution roadmap b. Project management structure including portfolio management, status reporting, communication, education, and engagement routines. c. Management of regulatory exams, responses, and routines on behalf of program; serve as point of contact for Truist Regulatory Relations internal team. d. Ownership and accountability for remediation of ET-wide macro concerns not owned by a technology vertical – i.e., Finance and Resource Management.
  • Determine and meet delivery goals and timelines within context of larger Strategic Program plan.
  • Work in tight alignment with the Strategic Remediation Leadership and Advisors, ET leadership and Business Management Offices.
  • Build and/or influence organizational support structures to ensure prioritization and ongoing sustainability of solutions put in place as an outcome of this work, i.e. influence processes to prioritize strategic remediation initiatives across areas adjacent to function, socialize and educate key partners, create/enhance tracking, reporting, metrics, escalation paths, interrogation of existing or needed policies and procedures, leading project-level reviews.
