This position enables instructional and administrative support through the use of technology by implementing, maintaining and trouble-shooting computers, network and related audio/visual equipment. The essential functions include deploying, updating and maintaining district-owned desktops, laptops, tablets, smart TVs, printers, copiers and interactive panels. It also involves supporting classroom instruction and school administration with technology hardware, software and digital services. The role provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 Troubleshooting for technology problems (hardware, software, networks, etc.) and collaborates directly with building techs, district A/V tech, district based technology staff and instructional technology coaches regularly to support technology. Customer service is provided to staff and students through onsite drop-ins, support ticketing system and direct messages. The specialist assists with onboarding new staff and students at the start and mid-school year, maintains cybersecurity and IT policies with a diverse population of students and staff, and supports user account creation and management in various systems. Primary support for the 1:1 student iPad program, including imaging and deployment through Jamf Management System, is also a key function. The role implements district software and cybersecurity standards, maintains and cleans all technology equipment, researches and stays current with technology trends, maintains hardware inventory and software licenses, and serves on technology-related committees as requested. Additionally, the position provides opportunities for students to lead.
