Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or five years’ experience.
Must have a valid Driver License and provide his/her own transportation.
The associate is provided mobile devices including phone and laptop and is required to be on call outside of working hours for emergency support requirements.
Must submit to/pass a police background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing support and service to detention center personnel regarding use of Detention Technology, i.e. electronic access control systems, including IP and PLC-based systems, video surveillance systems and cameras, and detention-related software applications such as Jail Management Systems and Inmate Tracking Systems.
Provides initial review of support tickets submitted by detention center personnel and forwards to the Jackson County IT Department or outside vendor as appropriate.
Provides input in the form of technical information, status reports, or recommendations regarding Detention Technology to supervisor, Physical Security & Safety Coordinator, or other appropriate personnel.
