About The Position

The Technology Service Delivery & Operations Intern will be primarily involved with the IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, and IT Observability/Enterprise System Monitoring functions at Wawa. This position will gain an understanding of Wawa’s technology stack and how the IT department provides service to our business and support staff associates. This position is a 40 hour per week position for the 10 - 12 week summer internship program.

Requirements

• Working towards a four-year computer science or similar technology/engineering college degree.
• Passion for Information Technology and Information Systems.
• Interest in IT hardware, software, IT service management, IT asset management and Enterprise system monitoring.
• Detail Oriented, willing to learn and grasp key concepts, and apply those concepts accordingly.
• Strong team work ethic and customer support focus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Desire for creativity and innovation.
• Ability to solve problems, recognize issues, prioritize, respond, and/or escalate appropriately.
• Basic knowledge of business concepts and principles.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics, metrics, and presentation-level reporting.
• Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Catalog Requests, IT Change Management & Knowledge Management capabilities at Wawa.
• Review IT Hardware and Software Asset Management records to identify opportunities to reduce redundant investment.
• Help resolve data quality issues and assist with efforts to reconcile software installation counts and overall asset reconciliation.
• Leverage Datadog and assist in expanding and refining Wawa IT system alert and monitoring capabilities.
