Technology Project Manager

The HALO Trust
Hybrid

About The Position

Technology Project Managers will lead the implementation of HALO’s Technology Strategy, driving forward the global portfolio of projects within their respective pillar (Location, Detection, or Excavation) and ensuring alignment with HALO’s strategic goals and operational needs. HALO is the leading global NGO addressing the impact and drivers of conflict in 30 countries and territories, with over 8,000 staff. Our primary duty is to serve people affected by conflict, clearing landmines and the explosive remnants of war that threaten lives and livelihoods long after fighting has finished. HALO addresses human suffering caused by armed violence in some of the world’s most fragile places, securing weapons and ammunition and working with both state and community actors to reduce the prevalence of armed violence. Since its founding, HALO has been at the forefront of technological and procedural developments in Humanitarian Mine Action and uses a wide range of equipment and techniques to find and remove explosive hazards. In 2025 HALO published its Technology Strategy, which outlines a bold five-year plan to revolutionise humanitarian mine action through targeted investment in advanced technologies for location, detection, and excavation. The strategy aims to dramatically improve safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across our global operations. This strategy marks a significant shift in HALO’s approach to innovation, moving from incremental improvements to transformative change. To deliver on this ambition, HALO is expanding its Research and Development team with new roles dedicated to driving forward each pillar of the strategy. Following the recruitment of a project manager to lead the Detection pillar, HALO is now recruiting two more Project Managers to lead the implementation of HALO’s Technology Strategy for Location (remote sensing, data gathering, and digital survey workflows) and Excavation (mechanisation and automation of signal investigation). Each Project Manager will be responsible for driving forward the portfolio of projects within their pillar, ensuring alignment with HALO’s strategic goals and operational needs.
