Intern Position Description – Global Technology Procurement Department Description: Global Technology Procurement delivers sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation services to optimize spend and mitigate risk for Oracle. The category team provides expertise on matters related to the procurement of Technology solutions within Oracle, collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to fulfill Oracle's business needs. Typical products or services included in this space are Software, Software as a Service, Hardware, Cloud Compute, and 3 rd Party Technology Services. Candidate Profile: Applicants must be a college student, in good standing, majoring in Business & Finance, Economics, Marketing. Experience in using Excel to create reports and for data analysis purposes is essential. The intern must possess strong organizational skills and be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Ability to learn new concepts and to facilitate problem solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, Ability to take initiative. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from $18.99 to $38.32 per hour; from: $39,500 to $79,700 per annum. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Participate in our end-to-end process workflow, from receiving the initial business request to supplier sourcing, and ultimate selection.
  • Learn about our contracting process and the various contract types we use to facilitate our respective Procurement activities as well as negotiation tactics and strategies.
  • Perform cost analysis and recommend areas for potential savings.
  • Assist the team by analyzing key metrics and recommending any potential corrective actions.
  • Help develop quality improvement initiatives and activities.
  • Assist the team by reviewing content on the category web site and update document links or formatting errors as needed.
  • The intern will have visibility to various platforms and tools including Procurement Cloud, APEX Databases, Slack, Zoom and Outlook Exchange.
  • Interact with key stakeholders and partners to understand their business requirements and guide them in facilitating applicable procurement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
