A Brief Overview The Technology PMO Lead is an experienced individual contributor who operates with increased autonomy and accountability across the Technology portfolio. This role goes beyond tracking and coordination to actively managing delivery health, resource optimization, and dependency resolution across multiple initiatives. This person serves as a trusted partner to project and product managers and functional leaders, proactively identifying risks, capacity constraints, and execution challenges while supporting the Manager of Technology PMO & Operations in driving operational rigor and continuous improvement across the PMO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5–8 years of experience in project management, PMO, or technology delivery roles
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and portfolios in a matrixed environment
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools and reporting platforms

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, CAPM, Agile, or similar certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Project & Portfolio Management: Own end-to-end project management for small to mid-sized technology initiatives or workstreams.
  • Proactively manage schedules, scope, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  • Coach project managers and teams on PMO standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Drive accountability for milestone delivery and corrective actions when projects are off track.
  • Resource & Capacity Management: Lead analysis of resource demand and capacity across multiple initiatives.
  • Identify systemic resource constraints, skill gaps, and utilization risks.
  • Recommend mitigation strategies (re-sequencing, prioritization, staffing changes) to leadership.
  • Support portfolio-level capacity planning and prioritization discussions.
  • Dependency & Cross-Initiative Coordination: Actively manage complex cross-project dependencies and risks.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams and functional areas to resolve delivery conflicts.
  • Escalate and recommend resolution paths for dependency-related risks impacting timelines or outcomes.
  • Reporting, Insights & Decision Support: Deliver executive-ready portfolio reporting with clear insights, trends, and recommendations.
  • Translate data into actionable insights for technology leadership.
  • Support preparation of materials for leadership reviews, operational cadence meetings, and quarterly planning.
  • PMO Maturity & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of PMO processes, templates, and tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery consistency, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
