Requirements

  • Technician, technical engineer or master or university degree
  • Several years of work experience in an automated high volume manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
  • Experience in working in foreign countries and cultures based on international assignments and/or project work
  • Detailed knowledge within the Siemens S7 programming tools
  • Experience with robot teaching (Kuka, ABB, Fanuc)
  • Familiar with blow molding and process engineering
  • Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic and electric systems
  • Knowledge of MS office and MS Project, Minitab, SAP
  • Fluent English skills written and spoken
  • Lean tools, 6S, A3, PDCA, TPM
  • Experience in leading and coaching others

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment without EHS risk
  • Be responsible for the alignment, implementation, programming, teaching and optimization of automation equipment for samplings and trial runs of injection & blow molded products
  • Align with internal Advanced Manufacturing standards to support the creation of feasible Statements Of Works
  • Support samplings in various production plants based on close collaboration with the local manufacturing team and the assigned sampling crew
  • Participate in equipment and tooling sign-offs
  • Contribute to and implement standards and changes to systems and processes
  • Analyze data models and develop permanent corrective actions with data elements available
  • Establish work instruction to foster automation standards
  • Execute troubleshooting for machine functions and automated process steps
  • Continuously Improve existing production lines and manufacturing processes
  • Continuously improve automation and support preventive maintenance
  • Support SMED activities
  • Train sampling crews and local manufacturing staff in automation
  • Document functional specifications, plan and schedule projects, and lead a team of professionals through implementation
  • Must be able to act with urgency, immediacy, and efficiency and make situation appropriate decisions
  • Able to work with other departments’ needs and schedules to accomplish goals
  • Excellent and proven personnel management skills
  • Ability to manage maintenance and special project budgets with detailed plans to ensure adherence to available budgets
  • Hire and train maintenance employees to carry out specialized duties
  • Offer technical advice and recommendations to a maintenance team to ensure an efficient workforce
  • Supervise the activities of a building upkeep personnel to ensure they maintain a clean and orderly facility
  • Maintain accurate record of maintenance operations and present to upper management reports of daily activities.
  • Supporting development of AOP plans for technology and training needs
