Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent.
This position is a year-round position.
Criminal History Background Check required.
Instructors are responsible for providing their own class materials.
Must exhibit initiative in the absence of supervision.
Have a positive attitude and show professionalism in communications.
Experience working with older adults.
Confident managing multiple participants at a time, and the ability to create a fun environment.
Monday – Friday daytime availability preferred.
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.

Responsibilities

Greeting participants and providing a high level of customer service.
Responsible for the preparation of lesson plans and instructing lessons.
Arrive on time and prepare the equipment needed.
Track attendance and communicate program updates to participants.
Teach computer and smart phone classes to include internet basics, Facebook, X, Pinterest, Etsy, buying and selling online, privacy settings, photo organization to persons over the age of 50.
