By providing administrative support on projects, your contributions are the backbone of the organization. The product development group is seeking an organized mind to help coordinate color matching, sample production, validation reports, project management, project scale-up, quality control plans, document requests and project closures. You will continuously learn new chemistries, new technologies, and new processes to develop effective and innovative solutions to complex customer challenges. Support UCC philosophy focused on facilitating the growth of the organization, continually improving quality, and driving to a world class safety and environmental culture.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in the use of basic computer software – MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Customer focused.

Nice To Haves

  • Color knowledge – color science, formulating, color matching software, excellent color acuity.
  • Resin knowledge – types, properties, limitations.
  • Additive knowledge for plastics – UV, AO, and dispersion aids.
  • Pigments – types, properties, limitations, supplier contacts, general technical understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for successful facilitation of all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Always utilize appropriate PPE.
  • Contribute to improving the safety culture and system by staying engaged in safety.
  • Support Regulatory responsiveness by assisting with TDS, SDS, Conflict Mineral, IMDS Entries and other document requests from customers.
  • Coordinate the acquisition and distribution of color targets/parts for projects.
  • Manage entering of manual sample requests ensuring availability of checking resin, correct delivery address, folder packet and X-Rite updates, and other details.
  • Manage daily sample/match schedule, update sample information and manage due dates, handle all sample move-up requests, and QC folders.
  • Support timely creation of BOMs and set-up Control Plans, QC Folders, and update X-Rite for production team on approved items.
  • Order supplies needed for Technicians.
  • Ship masters back to customers or extra chips as needed by Sales.
  • Scan lab cards and workorders to save in system.
  • Maintain organization of color chip drawers, QC folder packets, and monthly chip boxes.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of work area.
