The Technology Delivery Lead is accountable for the end-to-end planning, financial governance, and execution of complex, high-impact technology initiatives within the Technology function. This role focuses on critical, non-business-facing programmes that underpin the stability, scalability, and security of the organisation’s core technology estate. Working in close partnership with the CIO and senior Run and Protect leadership, the Technology Delivery Lead plays a pivotal role in strengthening and evolving Waystone’s foundational technology fabric-ensuring robust, resilient, and future-ready infrastructure that enables the wider business to operate effectively and at scale. Oversight of the delivery of services, policies, and procedures to support the ISO27001 and SOC2 certifications by close of 2026 Introduction, or advancement ,of core Technology tools and services to increase capability, resilience, compliance and security of the services provided to the Group. Systems, services and larger change, not necessarily always seen by the business/operation, but are must do implementations of core capabilities and/or the technology fabric of Waystone. Lead Systems Migrations and major systems upgrades from Discovery, Planning to Production introduction and/or cut-over. Workstream leadership for Technology in any new business Acquisitions and new office implementations or restructures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading large-scale technical initiatives within a complex, regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security, systems integration, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, SOC2).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience in technology leadership roles, particularly in acquisitions and office implementations.
  • Must have a demonstrable track record of delivery not ‘the teams’ achievements.
  • 10 – 15 years of experience in a technology leadership position and experience of working with geo-distributed teams and multiple technology teams and disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the CIO and senior Technology Leaders to identify costs/budget, resourcing, deliverables and delivery planning/timelines for key initiatives within the Technology functions strategic planning.
  • Manage stakeholder groups ensuring deliveries and deliverables are fully understood, controlled, communicated and progress fully articulated through clear reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure resourcing is utilised effectively and as lean on demand as possible. Is scheduled correctly and coordinated.
  • Where external resourcing, or Agencies/Consultancies, are engaged then close oversight is provided to maximise delivery.
  • Monitor progress, control budgets, manage risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and with the scoped outcomes.
  • Identify, articulate and control risks to delivery and implementations.
