About The Position

We're looking for a talented Technologist – Analog/Mixed Signal Design Engineer to join our organization in either San Jose or Irvine. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuits for cutting-edge semiconductor and electronic products. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to transform complex technical requirements into innovative solutions while maintaining the highest standards of precision and quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in analog or mixed-signal circuit design
  • Strong proficiency in circuit simulation tools (SPICE, Cadence Virtuoso, or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of analog circuit fundamentals including amplifiers, filters, and signal conditioning
  • Experience with PCB design and layout considerations for analog circuits
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Verilog, or VHDL for design verification and modeling
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or analog design environments
  • Experience with mixed-signal design including data converters, phase-locked loops, or power management circuits
  • Knowledge of RF or high-frequency circuit design
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles
  • Experience with version control systems and collaborative design tools
  • Background in signal processing or digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Experience with tape-out and silicon validation processes
  • Knowledge of low-power design techniques and power consumption optimization

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits, including amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and data converters
  • Conduct detailed circuit analysis and simulation using industry-standard tools such as SPICE, Cadence, and related design automation software
  • Perform signal integrity analysis, noise analysis, and power consumption optimization to ensure circuit performance meets specifications
  • Create and review detailed design documentation, schematics, and layout guidelines for manufacturing
  • Collaborate with digital design engineers, layout specialists, and system architects to integrate analog blocks into larger system designs
  • Validate circuit designs through bench testing, measurement, and characterization using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment
  • Troubleshoot design issues and implement corrective actions with systematic problem-solving approaches
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback to optimize circuit performance and manufacturability
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in analog and mixed-signal design
  • Support the full product lifecycle from concept through production, including design optimization and yield improvement
