About The Position

Supports production of ACCRA hot forming lines from a technical standpoint. Focus on robotic manufacturing equipment at ovens, press, and plasma cells including all preventative maintenance programs by performing the following duties within an automotive environment.

Requirements

  • Must adhere to NEC.
  • High school diploma or GED, and 5 years experience.in automotive environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, schedule form.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to feel or handle objects, tools or controls; reach and lift with hands and arms; talk, see and hear.
  • The associate is required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The associate is required to rotate their torso and view behind them to operate required equipment.
  • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to perform repetitive work tasks.
  • The associate may need to be available during off hours if needed and assist in emergency situations.
  • The associate must have the flexibility to work various shift hours and/or extended hours if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Production Operations.
  • Troubleshoot robotic programs and modify/adjust as needed.
  • Create robotic programs from scratch as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of electrical controls, drives, communications, wiring, robot paths etc.
  • Ability to comprehend PLC logic and its relationship to the robot’s programming.
  • Ability to comprehend field devices such as vision systems, fieldbus systems, safety components, and their relationships to the PLC and robots.
  • Assist technical services in machine repair, change over, set up and operation as required.
  • Effectively train, coach and mentor other Technicians to improve their skills.
  • Perform all preventative maintenance requirements as scheduled.
  • Have mechanical aptitude that compliments electrical capabilities.
  • Ability to schedule time, materials and equipment required to perform tasks, and to properly use and complete required documentation.
  • Assist in keeping a spare parts inventory.
  • Have a professional customer service attitude and ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added when necessary.
