About The Position

Supports production of ACCRA hot forming lines from a technical standpoint. Focus on robotic manufacturing equipment at ovens, press, and plasma cells including all preventative maintenance programs by performing the following duties within an automotive environment.

Requirements

Must adhere to NEC.
High school diploma or GED, and 5 years experience.in automotive environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, schedule form.
Ability to work without close supervision.
The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to feel or handle objects, tools or controls; reach and lift with hands and arms; talk, see and hear.
The associate is required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The associate is required to rotate their torso and view behind them to operate required equipment.
The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to perform repetitive work tasks.
The associate may need to be available during off hours if needed and assist in emergency situations.
The associate must have the flexibility to work various shift hours and/or extended hours if needed.

Responsibilities

Supports Production Operations.
Troubleshoot robotic programs and modify/adjust as needed.
Create robotic programs from scratch as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair various types of electrical controls, drives, communications, wiring, robot paths etc.
Ability to comprehend PLC logic and its relationship to the robot’s programming.
Ability to comprehend field devices such as vision systems, fieldbus systems, safety components, and their relationships to the PLC and robots.
Assist technical services in machine repair, change over, set up and operation as required.
Effectively train, coach and mentor other Technicians to improve their skills.
Perform all preventative maintenance requirements as scheduled.
Have mechanical aptitude that compliments electrical capabilities.
Ability to schedule time, materials and equipment required to perform tasks, and to properly use and complete required documentation.
Assist in keeping a spare parts inventory.
Have a professional customer service attitude and ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
