This LifeLine team member will be part of an elite fleet maintenance team responsible for preventative and unscheduled maintenance of ambulances and fleet vehicles housed within the LifeLine statewide fleet. With a focus on safety, this team member will be responsible for assessing a variety of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems as well as electro-mechanical patient care systems and equipment to optimize safe operations of all fleet assets. This team member will display excellent problem-solving skills that will be used in making recommendations, planning preventative and unscheduled maintenance, participating in hands-on maintenance and repair of ambulances and fleet vehicles up to and including ambulance re-chassis and re-power, and completing the appropriate documentation to support the work completed. This team member will actively utilize safety devices and equipment when performing duties on the shop floor and when driving any fleet asset and will conduct quality testing of any maintenance provided prior to placing the asset back in service for patient transport. This team member may occasionally support the transport team by answering after-hours emergency calls (at the fleet maintenance facility and/or the location of the asset) to repair faulty assets and equipment. This team member will be responsible for safely operating vehicles of various makes, models, and sizes in non-patient transport situations.
