Diesel Mechanic experience a PLUS

Requirements

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and organization is critical.
  • Lift Truck Certified (preferred but not necessary.)  If not certified in Lift Truck, must become certified in reasonable amount of time.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed to ensure vehicles are operable for peak periods.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to manage time, parts inventories, and budgetary expectations cost savings/avoidance’s
  • Must follow all safety procedures.
  • Must wear/use all required PPE, to include but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, mechanics gloves (when required), steel toe boots, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Diesel Mechanic experience a PLUS

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain vehicle fleet including lift trucks (propane and electric) and tuggers.
  • Perform all preventative maintenance as well as breakdown services.
  • Maintain all preventative maintenance and repair records, documents, and warranties.
  • Wash vehicles as a normal portion of preventative maintenance.
  • Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly.
  • Notify Supervision of vehicle abuse.
  • Assist facility maintenance whenever time permits.
  • Respond quickly to handling minor repairs (lights, horns, etc.) so that unsafe vehicles are not in operation or down for an extended period.
  • Other duties at the direction of supervisor.
