About The Position

As part of establishing a Smart Factory in Lewisville, Texas, Ericsson Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician Supervisor to join their Maintenance Team. This role provides leadership and technical support for the factory site, including installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment. The supervisor will lead and develop a team to ensure uninterrupted operations while collaborating with engineers, management, and vendors to drive operational excellence, build a culture of continuous learning, and meet key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and a structured, methodical approach to tackling new challenges, while maintaining an open mindset and a strong commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to build trust, inspire engagement, and effectively manage change within the team
  • Minimum 8 years of technical experience in electrical/electronics, electro-mechanical, or industrial maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and mentoring technical teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, PLC logic, automated robots, and equipment controls
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities using equipment documentation and computer programs
  • Proficiency reading blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to high-quality work, attention to detail, and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • AAS/BAS degree in Engineering, electrical/electronics, or industrial maintenance preferred
  • Mechanical and metal fabrication experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Technicians to ensure continuous equipment operation and high performance
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance and development conversations to support individual growth and career progression
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment faults using root cause analysis to inform preventive maintenance strategies
  • Promote team knowledge sharing by applying lessons learned and designing, implementing, and managing training plans that strengthen cross-training on critical equipment and processes
  • Manage complete installation, calibration, and commissioning of production equipment, overseeing timelines and work quality
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with production teams to minimize operational interruptions
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of internal and cross-functional processes to serve as a subject matter expert and ensure consistent process adherence across the team
  • Achieve equipment efficiency targets while leading the team to improve key performance indicators, proactively identifying and driving opportunities for optimization
  • Ensure compliance with ESD, Security, Occupational, Health, and Environmental safety requirements
  • Work extended or flexible hours when needed and perform physical tasks including lifting 50 lbs and working in various positions
