Position Summary: The Technician Supervisor (Navy Product) is responsible for ensuring quality, safety and timeliness of critical Navy Product through the Assembly & Test phase. The Technician Supervisor is responsible for engaging the Technician team, clearing roadblocks throughout the product lifecycle, troubleshooting assembly and test issues, and developing processes and procedures to aide in training and efficient throughput.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a complex assembly environment
  • Minimum of two years management experience
  • Minimum of three years’ experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS)
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required
  • Travel up to 10% of working time
  • ITAR Requirements: To conform to U.S. Government commercial space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), applicants for employment at Barber-Nichols must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e., current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. § 1157-1158.
