THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Shipboard Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (AC&R) Mechanical Technician to provide support at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center CODE 252 (MARMC) in Norfolk, VA. The Technician will provide full-time onsite contracted support to MARMC CODE 252. Typical Responsibilities: Provide Full-Time Onsite Support as well as Surge Support as tasked for the following Code 252 cognizant equipment: AEGIS Electronic Cooling Water Systems Electric Cooling Water Pumps AEGIS Seawater Pumps Conductivity Panels Dry Air Panels Dedicated Dehydrators Conduct Fleet Technical Assistance on-site or via distance support as required, to include engineering/technical evaluations, equipment functional checks, troubleshooting, test, analysis and equipment repairs as tasked. Conduct Assessments and Grooms determining equipment condition and out of specification settings; observe operation of the equipment by ship's force to witness the full range of performance, when possible; utilize appropriate measuring equipment to obtain data for evaluation; evaluate findings and make adjustments and repairs to the maximum extent possible during the time available. Provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians in the operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform/provide support during shipboard auxiliary systems tasking including TSRA, INSURV and Tech Assist events. Location: Full time onsite at Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center in Norfolk, VA. Travel: Up to 10% travel is anticipated.
